Debt ceiling to be increased by Rs.3, 3450bn

Budget 2024 proposes to increase Sri Lanka’s debt ceiling by Rs.3, 450 billion to Rs. 7, 350 billion.

President Wickremesinghe said this needs to be done to facilitate the capitalizing of the banks and to restructure the country’s debt.
