Colombo bourse trading hours restricted due to power cuts

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) will operate the Colombo bourse with restricted trading hours for the remaining working days of the week.

The capital market operator in a notice announced that a decision has been made to limit the trading hours from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The limited hours are imposed for 31 March, and 1 April 2022.

The decision was made due to the difficulties faced by Investors and other stakeholders to access and operate the market as a result of the prevailing power cuts, the CSE said.
