Würth Lanka marks 25 years of excellence in automotive aftermarket industry

Würth Lanka, a fully-owned subsidiary of the renowned German-based global brand Würth, celebrated its 25th anniversary on November 3, 2023, at Hilton Colombo Residencies.

Synonymous with excellence in the automotive aftermarket, construction industry for technical chemicals and tools and the metal and maintenance industry for tools, PPE and technical maintenance chemicals, the event was a joyous occasion, serving as a poignant moment of reflection and gratitude. It honoured a quarter century of dedicated service in these dynamic industries, reinforcing Würth Lanka’s commitment to delivering top-tier products and services.


The evening held special significance as Würth Lanka paid tribute to its very first employee, Rohan Amirthiah, Managing Director and CEO, whose leadership has been instrumental since the company’s inception. The celebration was an opportunity to express deep gratitude to the committed staff, who have contributed to the company’s success over the years.
A highlight of the event was the announcement of Suranga Kekuluwalage as the successor to Amirthiah. Kekuluwalage is set to carry forward the legacy of leadership, ensuring the continued growth and success of Würth Lanka. The prestigious occasion was graced by Christian Oleson, Group Senior Vice President of South and Southeast Asia, representing Würth Group, who served as the guest of honor.


Adding to the grandeur, Ambassador for Germany in Sri Lanka Dr. Felix Neumann joined the celebration on November 6, 2023. The event saw the participation of cherished long-standing customers from the automotive, construction and metal maintenance sectors, symbolising the strong partnerships forged over the years.
