US DFC commits $30mn to CDB to support women entrepreneurs and MSMEs

US Development Finance Corporation has committed US$ 30 million financing to Sri Lanka’s Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB).
CDB said the DFC financing will be utilised to support women entrepreneurs, sustainable financing and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The funding was announced during DFC CEO Scott Nathan’s recent visit to Sri Lanka.
“The reaffirmation of the commitment was signed in a ceremony at the US Embassy by CEO Nathan on behalf of DFC and by MD/CEO Mahesh Nanayakkara on behalf of CDB,” a stock market filing by the company said.
