The Sri Lanka Shippers’ Council (SLSC) launched its newly developed website on December 23rd, marking an important milestone in strengthening the Council’s digital outreach and engagement.
The Sri Lanka Shippers’ Council (SLSC), with a legacy of over five decades, serves as the collective voice of Sri Lankan shippers. Representing 17 product-based member associations and more than 50 individual member companies across a wide range of industries engaged in international trade, the SLSC remains a key stakeholder in shaping national trade-related policies, with a continued focus on strengthening Sri Lanka’s trade competitiveness and fostering collaboration among all relevant stakeholders.
Speaking at the launch, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Shippers’ Council stated that the website revamp reflects the Council’s commitment to modernization, transparency, and improved access to timely industry information. “The new platform is designed to be more user-friendly and informative, serving as a central hub for updates on industry developments, policy matters, events, and member engagement initiatives,” he said.
The launch event was graced by the presence of Past Chairmen, Committee Members, and Members of the Sri Lanka Shippers’ Council, along with representatives from partner organizations, including South Asia Gateway Terminals (SAGT), Dart Global Logistics (Pvt) Ltd, Lalan Rubbers (Pvt) Ltd, Ocean Network Express Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Ansell Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Hayleys Advantis Ltd, Asante CMB (Pvt) Ltd, Foreway Logistics (Pvt) Ltd, MAC Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, and Scanwell Logistics Colombo (Pvt) Ltd.
The Sri Lanka Shippers’ Council noted that the website will continue to evolve, with additional features and content to be introduced in line with member needs and industry developments.
