President meets BYD Company top executives

President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Transport and Highways Minister Bandula Gunawardana during their visit to Beijing engaged in discussions with top executives from China’s BYD Company regarding potential investment opportunities.
The discussions included the participation of Governor of the Central Bank Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, Chairman of the BOI and Port City Commission Dinesh Weerakkody, , Senior Advisor to the President Sagala Rathnayake, Director of the Presidential Secretariat Thekshana Abeyawardana, and Counsel General for Sri Lanka in Shanghai Anura Fernando.
BYD Company stands as the world’s largest electric vehicle manufacturer and plays a significant role in the production of automobiles, encompassing batteries for electric and hybrid cars, buses, and trucks.
