Halal Council receives Gold, top honours at CNCI Achiever Awards

The Halal Assessment Council (Guarantee) Limited (HAC) was recognized with two awards at the CNCI Achiever Awards 2025 for Industrial Excellence, organized by the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development.
HAC received the Gold Award (National Level – Service Sector, Small Category) and the Top Achievers Award (Small & Micro Category) for its outstanding performance, innovation, and contribution to Sri Lanka’s growing industrial and service sectors.
The CNCI Achiever Awards, now in their 24th year, celebrate Sri Lankan businesses that demonstrate excellence in productivity, quality, and sustainable growth across manufacturing and services.
Aakif Wahab, Director and Chief Executive Officer of HAC said,

The event was graced by Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, Sunil Handunnetthi, Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, Chathuranga Abeysinghe, Deputy Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development and Pradeep Kahawalage, Chairman of CNCI. They commended the positive contribution of small and medium enterprises toward the national industrial progress.
HAC’s recognition reinforces its growing role in promoting trusted Halal certification in Sri Lanka, supporting local businesses, and driving export readiness within the food and beverage industry.
