Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider, celebrated the Customer Service and Elders’ Week, with Dialog Prashansa conducting an event at Dialog Axiata head office to educate and empower the senior citizens on digital technology, with the objective of bridging the digital divide between generations.
The programme aimed to increase digital literacy amongst seniors, empowering them to leverage the power of technology to improve their own lives. The programme covered topics such as an introduction to digital technologies, myths and beliefs related to the internet and digital media, digital essentials and engagement as well as digital safety.
This was the latest in a series of programmes and events held by Dialog Prashansa, the company’s mobile postpaid plan for the government service pensioners, provided in partnership with the Pensions Department. Dialog Prashansa mobile postpaid plan offers 1000 minutes and SMS to any network, along with 2GB data for just Rs.300 + tax. Additionally, the plan provides its customers with the opportunity to own a 4G smartphone through a 24-month easy payment plan, with the instalment added to their monthly mobile bill.
