Dialog Axiata launches latest data centre built to global standards in Piliyandala

Dialog Axiata PLC, the first in Sri Lanka to launch an uptime Tier III-certified data centre, announced the launch of its latest fully-owned data centre in Piliyandala, built to the latest ISO and global data centre standards with the highest level of reliability. 


The facility was inaugurated by Technology Ministry Secretary Jayantha De Silva and Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka Director General Oshada Senanayake. 


This state-of-the-art data centre facilitating advanced technologies, including 5G, will extend the very latest in hosting and co-location services alongside a suite of cloud services to Sri Lanka’s enterprise and government sectors.


As the largest data centre provider in the country, Dialog is also in the process of upgrading its telecommunications network to support 5G deployment with cloudification. Through this latest establishment, customers can obtain high-density configuration, flawless connectivity and envisioned bandwidth alongside the helm of customised services from Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider while also seamlessly advancing their business continuity and disaster recovery needs. 

This newly launched, most secure and scalable infrastructure facility of Dialog aims to strengthen its contribution further towards accelerating the digital transformation of Sri Lanka.


Speaking at this monumental occasion, De Silva stated, “As we prepare the country for the next steps in its digital agenda, we aim to better equip local businesses with a full range of ICT solutions to enable them to thrive in a global arena.
