China Show business seminar eyes on strengthening bilateral trade

A business seminar titled ‘Innovative Products from China’ was held during the afternoon session of the first day of the second edition of China Products (Colombo Sri Lanka) Exhibition 2016.  
During these sessions, China Commerce Ministry Trade Development Bureau Deputy Director Wang Yuchen made several comments emphasizing on the importance of maintaining strong business links between the nations. He said that Sri Lanka and China have been close friends even in trade-related matters during the past. 
“It is a matter of continuing along that path and work on better long-term associations with Chinese companies for joint ventures, collaborations and import-export trading relations. We believe that events of this nature and the vital business information shared in this manner would greatly help to strengthen our ongoing bilateral relations further,” Yuchen added.
CMEC International Exhibition Co., Ltd managed the seminar sponsored by the China Commerce Ministry Trade Development Bureau. There was much response from Sri Lankan community with full house participation for the session. 
During the sessions, vital information about high-quality branded Chinese products introduced to the market was shared among participants gathered. It was stressed that not only retail goods but also products of high value such as machinery are marketed as recognized Chinese brands. It was also revealed that China is confidently moving ahead marketing its own brands at present.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Industry and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen and the ceremonial opening was graced by Guangdong Province People’s Government Deputy Secretary General Li Yiwei, China Council Promotion of International Trade Guangdong Committee President Lin Tao, Worldex Fiera Milano (Guangzhou) Exhibition Co. Ltd Managing Director Wolfgang, CMEC International Exhibition Co., Ltd Vice General Manager Wu Chupeng, National Chamber of Commerce (NCC) of Sri Lanka President Thilak Godamanna and WorldEx India Managing Director Rajesh Bhagat. Many distinguished guests representing leading trade bodies from Sri Lanka were also present at the opening event.
The exhibition, which displays more than 120 quality exhibitors from China, is jointly organised by the China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Guangdong Committee), China National Machinery & Equipment Import & Export Corporation (CMEC), and Worldex Fiera Milano Exhibitions (Guangzhou) Co. Ltd for which National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) extend fullest support by joining-in as the industry partner of 
the event.
