The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has introduced a Professional Diploma in Sustainability, addressing the rising need for sustainability expertise within the finance sector.
This initiative is designed to equip finance professionals with the skills required to manage sustainability challenges and ensure compliance in today’s business landscape.
The diploma, offered in a modular format, comprises four certificates focusing on Sustainability Frameworks and Ethics, Sustainability Strategy and Management, Sustainability Reporting, and Sustainability Assurance. Participants will complete over 60 hours of structured learning, culminating in a three-hour exam that assesses their ability to apply the knowledge gained.
ACCA’s established reputation, built over 120 years of delivering high-quality qualifications, adds significant value to this programme. The diploma has been well-received globally, with registrants appreciating its flexibility, rigorous academic standards, and adaptability to individual schedules. The modular structure allows learners to progress at their own pace, making the program accessible for working professionals.
Research conducted by ACCA underscores the gap in sustainability skills within many organizations, as well as the growing regulatory focus on sustainability worldwide. As demand for qualified professionals rises, ACCA’s diploma positions itself as a timely and relevant solution for the industry.
Enrolments are currently open, with the program setting a benchmark for training finance professionals to meet sustainability demands in corporate governance.
