Found hanging in police cell

A 22-year-old youth was found hanging in a cell at the Embilipitiya Police and pronounced dead upon admission to the Embilipitiya Base Hospital today.

He had been arrested this morning on charges of robbing several houses. Police said the victim was a resident of Kolambage Aara in Embilipitiya.
