Wasantha Samarasinghe using Range Rover: Chamara Samapth

Colombo,January 23 (Daily Mirror)- Two ruling party MPs are using luxury vehicles despite assurances by the government that such facilities will not be allowed, Opposition MP Chamara Samapth Dassanayake alleged in Parliament today. 

"One MP is seen transporting weeds in an estate," the MP said waving a photograph. 

Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya said they will look into the matter.

"MP Wasantha Samarasinghe is using a Range Rover. The maintainace cost of a Range Rover is higher than that of a V8," he added. 

The comments made by MP Dassanayake caused heated arguments between him and Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya.
