Feb.13 (Mirror Sports) - United Arab Emirates pulled off a dramatic five-wicket win over Canada to stay alive in the T20 World Cup Group D race.

Chasing 151, UAE looked in trouble with just four overs remaining, but Sohaib Khan’s 51 off 29 balls and Aryansh Sharma’s unbeaten 74 swung the game in UAE’s favour. Needing eight runs from the final over, Sharma launched a six, and newcomer Muhammad Arfan struck the winning boundary with two balls to spare.

Junaid Siddique starred with the ball, taking 5-35 — UAE’s best-ever T20 World Cup bowling figures — while Canada’s Harsh Thaker had earlier scored 50.

UAE sit third in Group D on two points and face must-win clashes against full members South Africa and Afghanistan to reach the Super 8s.
