Two injured as STF fires at sand truck

Two men injured when STF personnel shot at an illegal sand transporting truck in Kaladiya, Mee Oya in Puttalam early this morning, the Police said.

They said the STF personnel had opened fire at the lorry after it defied orders to stop.

An STF soldier, who tried to stop the truck was also injured in the incident.

The injured were admitted to the Puttalam Hospital.
