Tissa Vitharana appointed COPA Chairman

Government MP Tissa Vitharana was appointed as the Chairman of the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) at its inaugural meeting convened at the Parliament Complex today.

Mr. Vitharana’s name was proposed by State Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna and seconded by Minister Udaya Gammanpila.

Ministers Udhaya Gammanpila, Duminda Dissanayake, Dayasiri Jayasekara, Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Sudarshani Fernandopulle, Shehan Semasinghe, Prasanna Ranaweera and MPs Tissa Attanayake, Tissa Vitharana, Harin Fernando, Niroshan Perera, Faizal Cassim, Ashok Abeysinghe, Buddhika Pathirana, Cadar Mastan, S. Sridaran, Upul Galappatti, B.Y.G. Ratnasekara, Weerasumana Weerasinghe, Ranjith Bandara, Mohammed Muzammil and Harini Amarasuriya are the members of the COPA.
