Sri Lanka face Japan in opening Under-19 World Cup match

Colombo, January 17 (Daily Mirror) -Sri Lanka will play their first match of the ICC Under-19 World Cup, co-hosted by Zimbabwe and Namibia, against Japan today (17).

The match is scheduled to start at 1 pm local time in Windhoek, Namibia.

Sri Lanka are placed in Group A of the 16-team tournament, which is divided into four groups.

The tournament began yesterday (16), with four matches taking place. South Africa suffered a defeat to Afghanistan, England recorded a victory over Pakistan, Australia beat Ireland, and West Indies defeated Tanzania.
