Singer Amal Perera released after questioning

Singer Amal Perera and two others who were detained by the CID had been released after questioning them for over 24 hours, Police said.

Six individuals including Singer Amal Perera who were arrested along with notorious drug kingpin Makandure Madush in Dubai were deported last morning.

The suspects were detained by the CID on their arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport for questioning.
