Renown chef Shantha Mayadunne no more

One of the most popular television chef Shantha Mayadunne and her London-based daughter Nisanga were among the first victims who perished at the horrific explosion occurred at a packed restaurant in the Shangri-La hotel yesterday morning.

Daughter Nisanga had posted a selfie of the group sitting down to eat together shortly before the explosion, captioning it: ‘Easter breakfast with my family’. Authorities revealed 32 foreigners were killed in the attacks including five British nationals.
