President holds bilateral talks with German Chancellor

President Maithripala Sirisena who is on a state visit to Germany met the Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel today.

President Sirisena who arrived in the Chancellor’s Office was received by the German leader.

A Guard of Honour was also held to welcome the President, who is on a three-day state visit to Germany.

Subsequently, the Chancellor Merkel and President Sirisena started bilateral discussions.
