President, delegation return from Britain

The delegation, including President Ranil Wickremesinghe flew to Britain to attend the funeral ceremony of Queen Elizabeth II returned to the island and touched down at the Katunayake International Airport this morning. 

The duty officer in charge of the airport confirmed this.

They arrived at the Katunayake Airport at 8.23 am on an Emirates airline from Dubai, incidentally,
this was the first official overseas visit of the President after assuming office.
              
in view of his arrival, security arrangements have been tightened within and out of the Airport premises and in the whole compound. (T.K.G. Kapila)
