Colombo, June 16 (Daily Mirror) - Cabinet spokesman and Minister Nalinda Jayatissa said it is acceptable for opposition politician Namal Rajapaksa to engage in campaign-related activities while travelling around the country, as long as he attends court proceedings on scheduled dates.

Responding to a journalist’s question regarding Rajapaksa’s ongoing political activities, the Minister said court obligations must take priority when hearings are scheduled.

“It’s fine. On days when there are court cases, he should attend court. On the other days, he can go around like that,” Jayatissa said.
