NPP faces challenges in capturing CMC

The National People's Power (NPP) has been unable to secure an absolute majority at the Colombo Municipal Council, the largest municipality of Sri Lanka, according to a post on X by Opposition MP Mujibur Rahman.

It means the Opposition, if united, can bar the NPP from taking charge of the municipality.
