Lightning strikes four cattle

Three cows and a bull of a dairy farm were killed after being struck by lightning in the Galamuduna Estate during the thundershowers experienced in the Nawalapitiya area.

The owner of the dairy farm said the four heads of cattle that died were valued at around Rs. 800,000. 

Residents of the area pointed out that a huge cavity had been caused on the ground by the lighting.
