Julian Assange arrested in London

Wikileaks co-founder Julian Assange has been arrested at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, BBC News reported a short while ago. 

Meanwhile, Sputnik News said the arrest of Assange comes following a revelation made by the whistle blowing platform that he had been spied upon, with the data presumably being transferred to the US.

UK police have officially announced that they arrested Julian Assange after he left the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. 

WikiLeaks has accused Ecuador of illegally terminating Assange's political asylum in violation of international law, leading to his arrest by UK authorities.
