Indian visas halted at IVS due to ‘security incident’

The visa application center of the Indian High Commission in Colombo has been closed until further notice due to a security incident reported last night, the Indian High Commission said.

All applicants have been requested to reschedule their appointments with IVS Pvt. Ltd.

Visa applicants have been requested to contact the High Commission over the phone for any urgent consular or visa matter.

Meanwhile, a spokesman said the premises had reportedly been broken into last night and Sri Lanka police are investigating.
