Health Ministry will amend list

The list of vacancies prepared by the Ministry of Health and the Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA) for assigning post-internships to doctors is to be amended by the Ministry, sources said.

The decision was taken following a discussion between the President Maithripala Sirisena and Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne on Tuesday (31) night.

A meeting was to be held between the Director General of Health Services, Dr. Palitha Mahipala and the Minister of Health at the Ministry last night.

The final decision on amending the list to assign post-internships to doctors was taken during the discussion.(Ajantha Kumara Agalakada)
