Dislodged wheel of SLTB bus damages three-wheeler, shop

The right front wheel of a Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus dislodged while the vehicle was on the move, resulting in a collision that damaged a nearby shop yesterday, the police said.

They said the bus was travelling from Yatiyantota to Avissawella when its wheel had got dislodged.

The dislodged wheel damaged a three-wheeler and a computer repair shop, but no injuries were reported.

The shop owner and the three-wheeler owner handed over the dislodged wheel to the Yatiyantota police and said that they will not allow them to take the bus away from the spot without compensation being paid for the damages caused.
