Covid-19: Meegahawatta Police Station temporarily closed

The Meegahawatta Police Station has been temporarily closed after the OIC and another police officer of the Police Station contracted the Covid-19, according to the area Public Health Inspector.

Accordingly, a total of 40 police officers have been subjected PCR tests.

At present the duties of the Meegahawatta Police are being carried out at the Meegahawatta Nagarukkarama Temple and a team of officers from the surrounding police stations have been attached for those duties.
