Cop on duty arrested with ICE drugs

Two persons including a Policeman have been arrested by the Special Task Force of Police (STF) for possessing Kerala marijuana and ICE (methamphetamine) in Welikada.

Initially, the STF arrested a 42-year-old man, a resident of Rajagiriya for possessing 10g and 600mg of marijuana in Rajagiriya.

Following an investigation and analyzing the suspect's mobile phone, it was revealed that the suspect had a link with a policeman.

During interrogation, the suspect revealed that the said policeman was attached to the Emergency Response Unit of the Welikada Police.

Accordingly, the intelligence officers went to the police station where the Policeman was on duty and did an emergency search.

The STF recovered 10g and 540mg of ICE in the policeman's possession during the search.(DSB)
