Chamara Sampath urges Speaker to take action against COPE member who had referred to him as ’Badulle Bada’

Opposition MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake today urged the Speaker to take action against a COPE member who had referred to him as 'Badulle Bada' during a recent meeting of the committee.

"This member of COPE had obviously referred to me as 'Badulle Bada' as there is no other MP in Badulla District with a large belly. It is obviously me as others in Badulla including Minister Samantha Vidyaratne does not have a pot belly," the MP said.

"You should advise the COPE members and tell them to behave during meetings," he added.
