Businessman stabbed to death in Mount Lavinia

A 55-year old businessman was stabbed to death in a two-storey house at De-Seram Road in Mount Lavinia this evening, police said.

They said the victim was alleged killed by his  brother-in-law due to a personal dispute.

It was reported that the victim was drinking alcohol with his wife's brother and he was stabbed to death following an argument.

The suspect had fled the scene and Mount Lavinia Police are investigating.

Police suspect that the murder took place over a property dispute.(DSB)
