20A was not discussed: Amarapura Nikaya

The Amarapura Nikaya said in a statement that the Sangha Councils of the Amarapura Nikaya had not met and discussed the proposed 20th Amendment to the Constitution as yet.

The statement said that no comment can be made without studying the 20A thoroughly.

Shastrapathi Ganthune Assaji Mahanayake Thera of the Amarapura Nikaya said his personal view is that the executive should be more powerful than today.
