At least 157 selected fuel distribution centres under the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) in Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara districts will remain open during the police quarantine curfew, CPC Acting Marketing Manager W.D.L.C Abeygunawardana said.

He said the decision was reached to provide uninterrupted services especially to assist essential services in the areas where the police curfew was imposed.

Accordingly, 62 fuel distribution centres will remain open in Colombo District, 68 distribution centres in Gampaha District and 27 distribution centres in Kalutara District. Mr. Abeygunawardana requested consumers to log on to the CPC official website www.ceypetco.gov.lk to obtain more details on these selected distribution centres.

Certain filling stations in those areas may be temporarily closed due to lack of customers, he added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
