150 COVID-19 cases reported from Avissawella within 24 hours

A total of 150 COVID-19 cases, among 235 cases that have been reported in the Colombo District yesterday, were from Avissawella.

According to the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak, a total of 598 persons have been confirmed COVID-19 positive during the past 24 hours. 

Five of them were overseas returnees and the rest 593 were local residents. 

Out of the 593 cases, 235 of them were from the Colombo District,164 from Gampaha and 84 from Kalutara Districts.
