Medicines distributed from the Medical Supplies Division (MSD) of the Health Ministry has not caused the infection of COVID-19 for several officers attached to the Division, Chief Epidemiologist of the Epidemic Diseases Unit Dr Sudath Samaraweera said.
Addressing the media he said the MSD is where the main distribution of medicines takes place at the Health Ministry.
The Ministry had tested each person who arrived at the division to collect their medicines, but so far no infected person was found, Dr Samarweera said.
Therefore, Dr Samaraweera said, it is safe to use the medicines distributed from the MSD. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
