Chamari Athapaththu scored her eighth T20I half-century to help Sri Lanka Women record their first-ever win against England Women in the format, in Chelmsford.
After Sri Lanka Women bowled out England Women for 104 in 18 overs, Athapaththu set the tone for the chase, striking eight boundaries and two six to score 55 off 31 balls, before Harshitha Samarawickrama and Vishmi Gunaratne made unbeaten contributions to take the visiting team to an eight-wicket win.
