Udani Edirisinghe became the first ever female manager in the history of Sri Lanka club rugby as she was put in charge of the CH and FC team for the upcoming season, taking the reins from Dhammika Medagedara.

CH has not been able to win the league title in recent years though they were able to beat all the top teams, and this year they would look to find more consistency in results with the addition of a number of top players.
