CH & FC staged a stunning second half onslaught to claim a thrilling 26 (2-tries, 2-conversions, 4-penalties) -25 (3-tries, 2-conversions, 2-penalties) victory over Navy Sports Club at Welisara today (09).
The Sailors had put themselves in the driving seat at the breather having taken a 13-6 half time only to be knocked out by the Maitland Crescent Club who accumulated 20 points in the second half courtesy of tries from Prasath Madushanka and second row Matheesha Sarathchandra.
However, ultimately the difference between the two sides was full back Hirusha Sampath’s place kicking as the former Kingswood scrum-half grabbed 16 points through his boot.
