U-17 Cricket Tourney Pawan steers Devapathiraja to massive win

Pawan Sandesh of Devapathiraja MMV, Rathgama had the honour of making the first century of the Under-17 Inter-School Cricket Tournament when he slammed an unbeaten 120-ball 152 inclusive of six boundaries and 10 sixes to steer his side to a massive 254-run win over Rahula College, Matara at Rathgama yesterday.
Devapathiraja MMV batting first amassed a formidable 305 and in reply Rahula were bowled out for a paltry 51 runs.
Meanwhile, an unbeaten century by Ranudha Somaratne laid the foundation for Trinity College to record a comfortable 63-run win over their traditional rivals St. Anthony’s College, Katugastota in another match played at Asgiriya.
