Four players of the visiting Sri Lanka Cricket team underwent a doping test on the eve of the second Test which begins in Karachi today.
According to the sources close to the team management, the four players who were subject to a doping test were Captain Dimuth Karunaratne, Dinesh Chandimal, Lahiru Thirimanne and Lasith Embuldeniya.

Meanwhile, the team management will decide the final XI only on the morning of the day’s play.
Kasun Rajitha, who has a slight strain will stay back with the team and is being treated by the physiotherapist.
Unlike in Rawalpindi, where the first Test had 9.45 a.m. scheduled time for each day’s play, the Test match in Karachi will have a 15-minute delay start on all five days. “That’s the only change in Playing Conditions agreed by the two boards,” revealed Ashantha de Mel, the Manager and Tour Selector.

In the meantime, the new set of match officials, Jeff Crowe (Referee), Bruce Oxenford, Joel Wilson and Gregory Brathwaite and the TV umpires reached Karachi yesterday.
Interestingly, the new match referee did not have a customary one-to-one meeting with the captains of both sides.
