TNA MP E. Saravanapavan yesterday said his party cannot trust the present government, but at the same time cannot allow the forming of another Rajapaksa government.
Mr. Saravanapavan said this during the debate on the no-confidence motion brought against the government in Parliament last afternoon.

“This government has deceived the people in the North. They promised a political solution to the national issue through a new constitution. However nothing had come through, though discussions were held 70 times. Should our people allow themselves to be deceived continuously?” the MP questioned.

“However we feel that the known devil is better than the unknown one,” he said at the same time.

Also he questioned as to what kind of government can be formed by defeating the present government. Mr. Saravanapavan questioned as to whether one could allow another Rajapaksa government to come into power.
