Isolation lifted in several areas, and imposed in some others

• Over 70 GS divisions remain isolated

The isolation status of several areas in Wellawatte, Nittambuwa and Minuwangoda police divisions of the Western Province was lifted yesterday evening, Army Commander General Shavendra Silva said. 

Accordingly, the isolation status in Nazeer-watte in Wellawatte police area, Warana Temple Road, Kaththota Road, entrance area to Hidra Mawatha of Thihariya North and East Grama Niladhari Divisions in Nittambuwa police area and Galoluwa East and West in Minuwangoda police area have been removed from 6 p.m. yesterday. 
Meanwhile, Jumma Masjid Mawatha, Hidra Mawatha, New Road and Akaragoda of Galoluwa in Minuwangoda police area were isolated yesterday at 6 p.m. 

Following the new isolation status, 70 Grama Niladhari Divisions in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Matale, Matara, Ratnapura, Batticaloa, Ampara, Kurunegala, Kegalle, Hambantota and Anuradhapura and Gothatuwa Housing Scheme in Colombo and several roads in Vavuniya remain isolated.
