Man arrested for cruel killing of pet dog

A suspect had been taken into custody from Udupeellagoda Hakmana for severing the tongue and killing of a German Shepherd Pet. This was informed by the Hakmana Police.

The suspect had committed this grave act over a quarrel he had with the owner of the dog.

The suspect (54) had been identified as an employee of the Survey Department. He was to be produced before the Deiyandara Magistrate courts. The Hakmana Police are conducting further investigations. (Yasantha Ariyasena)
