Gampaha District MP Ranjan Ramanayake said he was contemplating whether to contest the general election in the Gampaha District from an independent list or to give up politics and become a full-time artiste if he was denied the ticket to contest the next general election.

“I have been treated in this manner because I talked about corruption irrespective of political differences,” he said.

Truth never fail. You have the future to do more politics, and people will not accept you if you step down. You should continue,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Hon. Ranjan, please don't leave politics. We will miss your 'moda katha' and 'moda jokes'. You cannot ridicule Buddhist monks and Buddhism and do politics in SL. It is one thing to not agree with certain practices of certain Buddhist monks but it’s another thing to mock and ridicule them. Your uncle Vijaya Kumaranatunga must be turning in his grave seeing your antics

Ranjan, You are wanted by the people to stay in politics independent or otherwise. Simply because you speak the truth.
