Congratulations, Madam! Please also note that the DM is not up to its earlier standard, especially the comment section which needs improvement. The present administrators seem a little lazy in approving comments, sometimes taking a long time to upload. In sometimes, the comment sections of certain news items are completely overlooked without a single comment being uploaded, which should not occur.

We wish you good luck and all the very best maam. Hope you will use the Daily mirror to bring out critical and analytical thinking, the need for discipline, balance and fairness, citizens role in governance etc into the fore front. Due to corruption, nepotism, and many other vices our leaders both political and religious are becoming hypocrits on matters such as discipline where their leadership matters. Therefore hope all media will give leadership to subjects like road and work place discipline, ethics, professionalism to guide our youth and even the teachers in the right direction.

Congratulations Jamila! A word of caution you are shouldering this appointment at a time when the playing field in media is experiencing an onslaught in disseminating the Truth with Transparency as there are many forces at work to bring in laws to tie the hands and zip the mouths of journalists who are going to every nook and corner in providing impartial reporting. Wish you well for the future with your Team to weather the Storms which has already started!!!!!!!

Congratulations! However, it is important to improve the timeliness of the news. For instance, the revision of fuel prices was announced on other online news sources well before it appeared in the Daily Mirror.

Editor in Chief -Senior Journalist - Jamila Husain We congratulate you in your new appointment. It's challenging and demanding but you could succeed with your knowledge; exposure; and experience. We wish you well. By the way if you could serialize the findings of the forensic audit carried-out by the Singaporean company, as we have no knowledge of their final determination of the loss incurred by country. We wish you may request the Virite` to have it done for the benefit of the general public.

Congratulations. Let's make DM is an impartial Newpaper. In the recent past it has been one similar to lake house newspapers..

Well done Thursday, 01 June 2023 01:00 PM

Congrats Jamila. Please improve comments standard which usually does not reflect the majority opinion. Anything sounds patriotic is not published. Onslaught on always on clergy like Ven Gnanasara given wide place, no comments for his corner is published. Please see the comments section is not hijacked by foreign funded groups/persons.

Tuan Iyne Thursday, 01 June 2023 01:22 PM

Our sincere and warmest Congratulations on your new appointment! It is certainly a challenging position. However, with your background and experience we have every confidence that you will deliver as expected! Where, as a country we have failed is the total lack of accountability! Please highlight this area as much as possible. Cheers and all the best!

Congratulations. Hope under your leadership this newspaper will publish news that is true, verified and without bias. recently this paper has been responsible for cause problems in society rather than publishing true news stories EG saying Pastor Jerome fled the country which was 100% false and cause an entire church to be under fire. Looking forward to actual, factual news stories in the future that’s convey the truth rather than click bait to make money for the paper at whatever expense

Congratulations comes to a person when highest standards are maintained and on impartial, critical correspondence etc if done. Lately the comments were done by a group of people favoured, by DM staff appearing all the time who make scantic remarks on particular political head . Some comments by some are racist . They are living abroad in mudhole and greek arena , with Judas in shortened, etc condemning the people and citizens of Sri Lanka. I HOPE not to see them under your scrutiny as the writing are not worthy a twopence. Many wishes given from readers to you, highlighting reasonable explanations by them as added value of advice to you in their postings. Let us see how you do
