Gota given new residence at Stanmore Crescent: MP Rasamanickam alleges

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabri has provided a new official residence at Stanmore Crescent to former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, MP Shanakiya Rasamanickam alleged today in Parliament.

Minister Ramesh Pathirana who refuted the allegation said that no such thing has taken place and the Minister of Foreign Affairs has no authority to provide official residences to anyone.

"The Minister of Foreign Affairs has no authority to provide official residences to anyone. Official residences are provided by the Ministry of Public Administration," Minister Pathirana said. (Yohan Perera and Ajirh Siriwardana)

Imf should take responsibility too for public money wastage as they fund and encourage corrupted politicians. Probably imf negotiating team get comission. The Presidents who serve short periods of just over two years like Gota and Ranil seem to be provided on their retirement the same Benefits and Privileges as the President's who have served two full terms totalling ten years.? Except Ranil and DB Wijeyathunga all the PMs and President's were elected by the eligible voters right ? Don't blame the system. All these years it had worked very hard for Singhalease At the cost of Minorities. They will never change the system even after the bankruptcy. The system will finds it own way to favour Singhalease like Ranil came from no where. The best political solution minorities could offer is to make Srilanka bankrupt, make it Silly LANKA.
