The criminals are becoming more bold. To commit a murder or dump a dead body right next to the police station is shocking

What is going on in this country? Business men, Young girls and boys are Killed. Is there any Police Department?

    citizen Tuesday, 17 January 2023 02:37 PM

Increase the numbers in police department. There is huge excess in government service. Transfer some people to police department with their will. If socially security is collapse, our childrens life is in danger.

Very sad. Surely that highly public area has lots of CCTV coverage and something will come of this? But yeah, if the "powerful" of the country are behind it, then nothing will be learned. :/

Don't say it's due to covid or the economy or that it is due to hunger and poverty. Evil is not triggered by any of those. Rest in peace young lady. My heart goes out to her family. Colombo is not safe anymore.

Universities are a section of society. It reflects the values of everyone in that society. The rising crime rate, murders, and other criminal activities are characteristics of those with those same illnesses. The government, police department, and university authorities must take responsibility for these unfortunate incidents. Colombo University must create a safe environment for those who come to study there. especially for female students. There should be a helpline, protection, and guidance. But the university has failed this many times. Administration and management are not just about your perks and privileges. It's a responsibility. It's both a skill and an art. In Sri Lanka, they are failing in every aspect.
