No issue with Harsha: Sajith
Talking of his decision for retaining the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Colombo District leadership for himself in addition to his party leadership,
Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa said he has no issue with MP Harsha de Silva. "I have no issue with Harsha and my decision to keep the SJB Colombo District leadership has nothing to do with it," he told journalists.
He was responding to a question raised by journalists as to why Dr. De Silva was not given the district leader's post. Earlier Dr. De Silva claimed that he is the most suitable person for the SJB Colombo District leadership.
"I am the most suitable person for the SJB Colombo District leadership, but I don't intend to hunt for posts. One cannot obtain positions by force," he told the media.

Harsha will be of better use in the NPP government than remaining with the SJB. Only a very few politicians from the Opposition will qualify to be part of new Gov and Harsha should take his chance and serve the people under this dynamic new force.

How can Harsha work with NPP/JVP when even the NPPers are finding it hard to work with their counterparts the archaic JVPers. Harsha doesn’t have the backbone to do anything like that. He is no Harin, Manusha or Thalatha! He has no guts to say come what may I am going teach this ungrateful leader a lesson. SP knows this.

Yesterday it was shown how he addressed the media after a discussion at the party office ,the way answering the questions shows his proud behavior and person who speaks to him will certainly not like to speak to him again. It comes from lack of confidence and acute inferiority complex. They fear clever people. Look at Ranil. He showed he could work with anyone and most importantly get them to deliver what he wants. That’s why the people who worked with him liked him so much. They know they flourished under him. That’s the difference between a true leader and a cardboard hero!

Sajith lacks leadership qualities and he is a baby compared to many other senior members of the party. He isn't a people's person rather a clown trying to get attention. As long as SP is going to be the leader, they will never have a chance to win an election.

Harsha is not honesty and trustworthy though he is educated much that is the reason NPP didn't take him inside of the party. He is a elite and proud man and don't know the pain of poor people of this country like RW. Anyway, Sajith is aware that he had been joining hands with RW during last election and if RW won definitely he would have jumped leaving SJB like HF. Knowing this SP is careful of traitors. Sagith has a bright future because of his clean hands but he should remove all bad boys around him

The mistake we make is just because someone is emotionally sensitive to the suffering of the poor he is the best person who could lift them from poverty. He can provide a shoulder to cry (or provide a few smart boards and buses!) but cannot feed them forever. To really help the poor you need to have a strong leader with vision, intelligence, leadership qualities and a capable team to implement right economic policies. That’s why socialism always fail leaving everyone poor and miserable while that frequently maligned capitalism lifts millions and millions of people out of poverty. Capitalism may not be the panacea for all problems in the world but what could? Utopia exists only in mythology!

NO MATTER IF THE SJB IS LED BY SAJITH AND OR HARSHA, THEY CAN NOT COME INTO GOVT EITHER WAY AND THE ONLY CHANCE IS RETURNING BACK TO THE OPPOSITION IF ALL OTHER PARTYS JOIN TOGETHER AND THAT BEING SAID SAJITH WILL DEFINITELY NOT GET PM IN THE SO CALLED ALLIANCE/AKKA NON ALLIANCE WHERE EACH PARTY VOTE AS THEY REPRESENT THEIR PARTY AND THEN JOIN TOGETHER WITH UNP. IF SO RUWAN MAY GET PM IF RW IS BOWING OUT AND RUNNING THE ALLIANCE/AKKA NON ALLIANCE FROM THE BACK SEAT AND OR BEHIND CLOSED DOORS.

Not appointing Harsha is a major issue as he is one of the most highly educated, outspoken and a person who has stood by SJB. It appears, Ranil's agents in SJB are trying not to allow Harsha to climb the ladder in SJB as Ranil has appointed his side kick Navin Dissanayake as VP of UNP. By doing this Ranil has killed to birds. If SJB and UNP merge then Navin will become a challenge to Sajith and at the same time keeping Harsha away from being the organizer of Colombo district he has ensured Harsha won't be a challenge to Navin.

It's time for a new political movement led by capable individuals. We need to bring together competent and results-driven individuals. While perfection is unrealistic in this murky political landscape, we can at least unite those who can deliver meaningful results. Some in my proposed team: Champika as the leader, along with Harsha, Eran, Kabir Hashim, Hirunika, Dilith, Prasad, Sujeewa, Dayasiri, Rajitha, Akila, Kanchana, D.V. Chanaka, Shehan, Ashoka Abeysinghe, Sudarshini , Nalin Bandara Jayamaha, Marikkar, Sumanthiran, Ajith Perera, Mujibur, Rohini Kumari. Ramesh, Rehan We might even consider Wimal and Udaya—despite their nationalist leanings, they are capable individuals. Better to have them inside than working against it from the outside. For AKD

SP is a control freak. He has a bloated ego and suffer a huge inferiority complex. All he does is place blame and do a lot of finger pointing.. He has not done anything constructive. He is not a team player so how can he be a leader. It is sad that so much time is spent by politicians on fault finding when instead we take all those MPs who are capable and have potential and put them together to run the country and get rid of all the others. People are NOT interested in finger pointing.. they want the country to prosper and livelihood to improve but in SL there is always egos and insecurities that get in the way

SP never got the number of votes RW received contesting the presidential election. Sajith received fewer and fewer votes every time he contested. He has clearly no chance of winning by a popular vote! He does not possess the political acumen of his father! MR and the SP brigade made sure RW will not win an election either! It is hard to even think of possible charismatic leader in the opposition! Bakeer Markar may be! Eran possibly! Sooner the SJB hangers on realize this, the better for the country!

Harsha not suitable for this Colombo District leadership post. Because he never talk about national issues other than his thinking pattern about economy. He might be suitable for Kotte organizer.
