Former Royal College skipper, who also represented CR&FC, Kandy SC and Sri Lanka, Shehan Pathirana will retire from rugby to focus on his business ventures.

Pathirana led the Royal College outfit in 2011 before playing for the junior national team touring many Asian countries. At club level, he started at CR&FC in 2011 before moving to Havelock SC where he played for three years at the Park Club. He crossed over to Kandy SC, winning many titles with the up-country club.

Pathirana, who was an automatic choice for both the 7s and 15s national team, represented the country for more than eight years. He was a fine forward in both forms of the game.
